The Son of The Sheik (1926) - Rudolph Valentino

This excerpt illustrates what captivated filmgoers saw in Valentino - and why reformers thought he was too hot for the screen.

  1. Too hott....today, that seems a funny term to associate with with film clip. Forceful seems like a better word... especially where the text says"eye for an eye", then Valentino throws her to the floor and then proceeds to have his way with her whether she wants it or not. I feel like the reformers should have been more upset with his anger/lust than his "hottness".
